Places to visit in Laos

Laos is an easy, unhurried trip: Luang Prabang for temple roofs, Mekong sunsets and Kuang Si Falls, Vang Vieng for limestone hills, blue lagoons and kayaking, and Vientiane for golden stupas and noodle breakfasts. Down south, Si Phan Don is small Mekong islands made for cycling. AirAsia flies direct from KL to Vientiane a few days a week, about two hours 40 minutes, and the fast train runs north to Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang.
