Places to visit in Japan

Japan works for almost any kind of trip: big-city food in Tokyo and Osaka, temples in Kyoto and Nara, snow and seafood in Hokkaido, and clear blue water in Okinawa. Most first trips fly from KL into Tokyo or Osaka, about six to seven hours, then use the trains for day trips. Fukuoka is a smaller, easier first city if you'd rather keep things simple.
