sungai kedondong
Boulder pools and a forest waterfall off the Batang Kali–Genting road.
- Best time
- February to October, after a few dry days, and in the morning, before the afternoon storms. The year-end monsoon brings the most rain, and the river can rise within minutes after rain upstream.
- How long
- Half a day
- Getting there
- About an hour's drive north of KL via the North–South Expressway and Batang Kali, then the B66 towards Genting Highlands past Kampung Kuantan; the entrance is by the road. There's no public transport.

A recreation forest on the road from Batang Kali up to Genting, where families spread out on the boulders beside a clear, fast river. Most stay by the lower pools; a short trail upstream leads to a waterfall with a big pool.

Good to know
- Get out at once if the water turns murky, speeds up or starts carrying leaves and branches. A student drowned at the waterfall in January 2026, and three men were trapped by a surge there in May.
- Weekends are busy, so come early for a spot near the water.
- Take your rubbish home with you.
