Langkawi day trip for snorkelling with baby blacktip reef sharks in the shallows.
- Best time
- December to April usually brings the calmest seas and clearest water. Boats may not run in rough weather.
- How long
- A day trip
- Getting there
- Fly from KL to Langkawi in about an hour, or take the ferry from Kuala Kedah or Kuala Perlis. Day trips leave from Kuah and take about an hour by boat.

A small island in a protected marine park south of Langkawi, known for its coral and clear water. Most people come on a day trip from Langkawi to snorkel, and young reef sharks are a regular sight near the beach.
Things to do
- SnorkellingThe sheltered water around the island is shallow, clear and full of reef fish.Map ↗

Good to know
- It's a marine park. Don't touch or stand on coral, don't feed the fish, and don't take shells or coral home.
- Visits are usually by tour package from Langkawi, so book a day or two ahead.
- There's little shade on the water. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a rash guard.
