- December to April is the main season, dry and breezy. The wind is strongest from about November to March, which suits kitesurfers. It's hot and fairly dry the rest of the year too.

- Fly KL to Ho Chi Minh City (about 2 hours), then about 3–4 hours by road on the expressway. Or take the train to Phan Thiet, then about 30 minutes by car.

A fishing village turned beach-resort strip near Phan Thiet, on a dry, windy stretch of Vietnam's south-central coast. It's known for sand dunes, kitesurfing and seafood, with most resorts lined up along the coast road west of the village.
