Tunku Abdul Rahman lived in this colonial-era bungalow on Jalan Dato' Onn from 1956 to 1970, through independence and the formation of Malaysia. The National Archives opened it as his memorial in 1994: the house keeps its old layout, and the galleries beside it tell his story through documents, photos, gifts and clothes.

Good to know

  • The house, the galleries and the car display are separate buildings across a sloping compound, so bring an umbrella.
